The Land Book Cover

THE LAND

A Tranquil World without hunger, without pain, without struggle. Ever-serving machines always stand by, ready to serve. Life stretches toward immortality. Humanity stood at its peak—free from the grasp of nature, basking in its own perfection.

But perfection has a cost. The Land was not built on compassion, but on exclusion.

When the balance broke, the earth itself rebelled. Monuments crumbled. The machines went silent. And humanity turned its own creation against itself.

This is the story of that world—its rise, downfall, and the quiet defiance of those who refused to abandon compassion. A tale of loss and bravery, destruction and renewal, and the desperate fight to keep the last remnant of humanity's soul.

For the readers of The Road, Animal Farm, and Dune—Welcome to The Land.

Know The Land

Map of The Land

Regions & Territories

NORTHERN MOUNTAINS

The frozen spine of The Land, where ancient peaks pierce the clouds and snow falls year-round. Home to the mining settlements that supplied the Metropolis with rare minerals.

METROPOLIS

The gleaming heart of civilization, where towers of glass and steel stretched toward the sky. Here, millions lived in perfect comfort, unaware of the price paid for their paradise.

EASTERN RANGE

A rugged frontier of steep valleys and hidden passes, where settlers carved homes from stone and lived at the edge of The Land's reach.

BLACK MOUNTAIN

A solitary peak of dark stone rising from the eastern wilderness, shrouded in legend and marking the border between the known and the wild.

CENTRAL DESERT

Endless expanses of sand and stone, baked beneath an unforgiving sun. Life here was sparse, dependent on ancient wells and the resilience of those the Metropolis deemed unworthy.

SOUTHERN DUNE

Rolling seas of sand along the southern coast, where the wind shaped the land and small communities survived on fishing and trade with distant shores.

MINING SETTLEMENT

A cluster of industrial outposts in the eastern mountains, where workers extracted the resources that powered The Land's machines and sustained its immortal citizens.

WESTERN OCEAN

Vast waters stretching beyond sight, where fishing vessels ventured and trade ships once connected The Land to forgotten continents across the sea.

EASTERN OCEAN

The far edge of the known world, where few dared to sail and mysteries remained hidden beneath cold, dark waves.

ICEBURG OCEAN

A mighty and stormy ocean that surrounds The Land, filled with towering icebergs calved from the northern glaciers. Its frigid, turbulent waters formed an impenetrable barrier, isolating The Land from the rest of the world. Ancient sailors spoke of ships swallowed by sudden storms and crews lost to the crushing ice. Few vessels that ventured into its grey waters ever returned, and those that did brought back tales of desolation and endless cold.
